3 Nocturnes
for violoncello and piano
Chopin, Frédéric
Frederic Chopin - 'Frycek', used among his family and friends, or 'Chip-Chip'
which was George Sand's nickname for him - is the Romantic era personified.
Like a magician he appears possessed of the secret to transfigure whatever he
touches into some weird crystal, convincing in its confirmation, transparent
in its eccentricity, of which no duplicate is possible, no imitation
desirable. This perfectly illustrates the three Nocturnes, orginally written
for piano, presented here.
