Dünser, Richard, Ricordanze

for Piano Quartet

Ricordanze (Italian: memories) by Richard Dünser is a 21-minute work for
piano quartet. It was written between 2017 and 2020 and is a kind of musical
diary. All the music is based on a wide variety of memories - biographical
and musical - and places them in day- and nightdream contexts. The premiere
took place on 31 October 2020 at the Zorneding Festival with Hyeyoon Park
(violin), Gregor Sigl (viola), Patrick Demenga (cello) and Oliver Triendl
(piano). The score and parts of the work are available for sale as part of
the Peters Contemporary Chamber Series.
