Agathe Backer Grøndahl is primarily known as an accomplished Norwegian pianist, but her brilliant compositions have received little
attention to date. The fairytale suite I Blaafjellet, Op. 44, consists of six virtuoso piano movements of great originality and beauty, inspired
by Norwegian mythical creatures. First-ever Urtext edition, edited by Christian Grøvlen, following the original 1896 edition, which was out
of print for many years.
Agathe Backer Grøndahl ist vor allem als bedeutende norwegische Pianistin bekannt, während ihre meisterhaften Kompositionen bis heute
nur wenig Beachtung fanden. Die Märchensuite I Blaafjellet op. 44 besteht aus sechs virtuosen Klaviersätzen von grosser Originalität und
Schönheit, die von norwegischen Fabelwesen inspiriert sind. Erste Urtext-Ausgabe, herausgegeben von Christian Grøvlen, basierend auf
der Originalausgabe von 1896.
