Following on from the successful revival of Haydns most popular opera, Lo Speziale, at the Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt in 2001, this revised and completed version, in three acts, has been prepared by consulting the surviving fragments of Haydns manuscript, which was partly destroyed by a fire at the Esterháza Palace theatre in 1779.
