At the Turn of the Year is a revised version (2016) of a set of four short piano studies sketched mostly between December 1991 and January 1992. The work is in four sections, all derived from the opening material the first and fourth are similar, and the middle sections, newly reworked and expanded, are fast and scherzo-like in character.
